Among the must-see places to visit with family or friends, we recommend Futuroscope. This theme park and water park is located 1 hour and 40 minutes from your accommodation. Thrilling or gentler experiences, innovations and nighttime shows: you won't be bored!
You can also visit the Bioparc de Doué-la-Fontaine, which you can reach in just under an hour. Discover more than 1,900 animals and learn more about their lives and conservation.
For a more peaceful stroll in the heart of nature, head to the Oriental Garden of Maulévrier, the largest Japanese garden in Europe!
Attend the region's festivals
The year is full of action in Vendée! Many events take place near the cottage. For example, we recommend Hellfest in Clisson, which brings together metal culture enthusiasts and artists.
Also attend the Poupet Festival in Saint-Malô-du-Bois. Many artists perform in a variety of musical styles, for your enjoyment!
Breathe in the sea air
Your holiday cottage, in addition to being close to Puy du Fou, is also near the beaches. In an hour's drive, you can reach Les Sables-d'Olonne, an iconic seaside resort on the Atlantic coast. Enjoy some relaxation on the beaches! Along the coast, you can also discover Saint-Jean-de-Monts (1 hour 30 minutes), Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (1 hour 30 minutes), or even the island of Noirmoutier (1 hour 50 minutes).
Explore the Marais Poitevin
Do you love walks in exceptional natural settings? Head to the Marais Poitevin, just 1 hour from your gîte, La Villa des Coeurs Vendéens! On foot or by bike, explore the trails and observe the remarkable flora and fauna that surround you. You can also take a boat trip on the "Green Venice".
By going to Saint-Georges-de-Montaigu, 36 minutes from your accommodation, you can also take a boat trip on the Grande Maine.
